My art teacher wasn't like this....

My kids have the best art teacher! She teaches them the history behind different types of art at the same time as letting them experiment with the different types of media. She puts together museum quality exhibits made by her students throughout the year too. The coolest thing is seeing what the students create and knowing that there were no adults "helping" the end product to look perfect and it still does! I have been framing them as they bring them home and will have quite a showcase by the time they finish elementary school. Here's a few my first grader just came home with:

The one above is entitled "Picasso Cubist Face."

This one is called "Green Crab." Can you see him?! I am retracting the entry I posted questioning my son's artistic abilities.
