My brother, an almost confirmed bachelor, was married last night in a sunset ceremony in Hawaii.
I wish them a lifetime of happiness.
This is their poem written by E.E. Cummings:
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

We have visited the volcano, cruised along the highways through lava fields and mountains, we've gotten wet at a black sand beach, listened to the crashing surf, gone to a luau, gone shopping at Walmart three times, visited multiple tourist shops, watched cruise ships come in and out of the bay, eaten at restaurants from swanky to Taco Bell(the crunchy tacos are great), and, oh yeah, got married on a beautiful beach.
If you want to see the site...got to www.konaweddings.com choose the locations button and you'll see slides of a place called "secret Beach" That was our location and it really is beautiful. It's a wonderful wedding and honeymoon.
Aloha,
-your upside down sister-in law
