Is your wildest dream to save thirty bucks this summer????

People! The promise to suspend the gas tax for the summer doesn't "fix" anything and only saves you an average of $2.35 per tank of gas. If this proposal sways your opinion in any way, you probably would also fall for the campaign promise Pedro made to his classmates:

"If you vote for me, all of your wildest dreams will come true."

Come on! Let's show John McCain and Hillary Clinton that we're not as dumb as they think we are!!!!!

A Poem

Last year I went to visit my brother in Omaha over St. Patrick's Day. We went downtown and, at one point, I had to pee. On the bathroom wall there was some graffiti that I shared with my brother after coming out. I couldn't remember it exactly but summarized something about a "bedframe of bones." As the night wore on and we had drank a draft or two, we began to embellish the quote and slowly it morphed into a poem that HAD to be recited in an Schwarzznegger voice. When we got home that night, we put pen to paper and came up with this. My one and only YouTube posting. It still cracks me up (as you can hear in the background giggling)!

The next day, I just had to get back to that bathroom and take a picture of the quote. It was locked and my flight was leaving that day. We hung around as long as we could and miraculously, the janitor came in the nick of time to unlock the bathroom. Here's the original quote:

Now you know that I'm not the only one in the family who is wierd.....

Seeing God

I took these pictures on an early morning drive this week. I'm not the most spiritual but, every time I see sun rays shooting out of the clouds like this, I think it's God.....

P.S. I got a new niece on Wednesday!

Ahhhh Pennsylvania.......

I'm sad. I'm sad because Pennsylvania didn't put this crazy primary in the bag. I'm sad because Hillary has found a new loophole to exploit and claim she's ahead (fuzzy math + popular vote). I'm sad to see how Barack seems to be losing steam at the moment. To cheer myself up I went to this website:

Barack Obama is your new bicycle

Barack Obama thinks I'm cute! How can I not vote for this man! :)

Hope is cool!

I found this great website called hoperevo.com. It's along the mindset of practicing random acts of kindness. I printed out their pre-formatted "cards of hope" sets which you can download, and was passing them all around when I went to DC a few months ago. It was so fun sticking them in napkin holders at Wendy's or on toilet paper rolls in bathrooms. I just envision someone having a really crappy day finding one of these and maybe snapping out of their funk. You know? I've made a new set with a few of my own sayings and some that I stole off the website. They're almost too pretty to pass out!

I'm Luke, I'm Five, and My Dad's Bruce Lee...

This popped up while listening to my iPod on shuffle today. It's an awesome song by Nizlopi called The JCB Song. I thought I'd share it, if you've never heard it before. It's a song about how every kid should remember their dad......

A Musical Discovery

We saw Jessy Lynn perform on Saturday. My friend, Kellie, had a little festival with booths, hot dogs and live country music at her shop in Fairfield. It was a lot of fun! My daughter and her best friend got to meet this up-and-coming country singer and picked her a bunch of dandelions. Jessy Lynn is twenty-one years old and a newlywed (I had to tell her about my brother in Hawaii). She thought the girls were so sweet. She autographed her CD for them and, after she comes back from Nashville as a famous country music singer, it'll be worth millions! We listened to it all the way home. She doesn't seem to have an internet presence yet. If I was more savvy with blogging and computer stuff, I'd rip a song or two off of her CD and put a link to it here...... Is that illegal????
